about

Twelve for the Turning of the Year was self-recorded on cassette December 30 and 31, 1996 and January 7, 1997 and a decade or so later transfered to CD by Steve Biando of the University of La Verne. It was created as a gift for selected friends and not meant for wider release. The recording quality is primitive but some of the tunes, particularly settings of poems by Charles Cousley, Seamus Heaney, and Jessica Powers, have a warm place in my heart.
